Must admit I was a faint Musk fan for quite awhile. But it seems no ones immune from the affects of billions inflating your ego and loosening your grasp on reality. He really does seem to have God complex, as has been seen since the expert diver working to save lives of those stuck in Thai caves, politely turned down Musk's offer of help - Elon took offence and called him a podophile, without any basis.



Then there's a series of other developments, for which haven't really been getting the full picture on the boards.


Twitter quietly drops policy preventing sharing of COVID-19 misinformation

The change comes after Elon Musk laid off half of Twitter's workforce when he took over the company, with those responsible for content moderation among the teams hit.

Not saying this is all one side, it rarely is. But there's more to the Twitter controversies than has been portrayed. This is without going into thousands of staff sacked, largely women, and threats of being sacked unless signing up to doing 70 hour weeks. Would you honestly not take issue with your workplace sacking swathes of your colleagues, threatening to sack you unless you did 70+ hour weeks, and that you need to often sleep on site at the office?

It's pretty freakin' weird, man.

Whoever is running any social media company has to deal with content on a worldwide level. Trying to monetize with advertising dollars/subs on a platform that can and is used for spreading hate speech, death threats, misinformation that could lead to violence, pedophilia, etc sounds like a hell of a large task. You literally have to figure out how to deal with people starting genocide movements on your platform.

Then you look at Musk's Twitter feed and it's clear he spends all day trolling Twitter's former board, COVID conspiracy theories, and getting into flame wars with ********s.

This is the trouble, the seeming in-ability by lots to look objectively and recognise points on all sides. Libtards, really? What so slightly over half of your countrymen are r3tarded for voting a certain party? That's the conducive attitude and language you adopt!? Or to anyone that dares to talk about, criticise things?

At the same time seeming to want to go about doing it, criticising them, and 'their side' without a hint of irony, as if it's okay for you cos you're 'right'.

There's some stuff that's been uncovered of twitter from prior years, sure. Nothing major earth cracking, but valid. Totally.

But there's also countless reports and examples of serious things going on in a matter of weeks, under Musk. You've not really addressed one single tweet or report above. You dismiss women being unfairly targeted, as just, with a sexist remark of, because woman what, don't want to work hard? That's what you infer.

So if your wife returned home saying, I already do 50 hour weeks, he's demanding we do 70+ hour weeks, sleep at the office sometimes, all for the same pay and harsher work conditions. He's culled my team, doubled my workload. I won't be able to look after the kids as much, you'll have to step up.

There's several threads that are pro Musk. Hence there was more of only one side being portrayed, and yes this was to cover other sides of the situation.

I've credited within a post that the things uncovered of past years about shadow banning and such seems a real issue and worthy of further investigation. And called it valid criticism.

What 'factual' covid information was removed? You've made that aspersion, back it up. And of course, it needs to be proven to be accurate valid facts, accepted by most scientist and a range of sources. Not some alternative facts you just want to assert without merit.

There may be examples here and there, but there seems to be genuine large concern from a range of people inside and outside twitter, now saying there's serious issues with moderation and mis information. You can't just dismiss that.
