I thought the rule was if one is eating then it's ok to not have the mask on, so I'm pretty confused as to why they were trippin when you clearly see the little girl feeding herself(and doing a pretty good job at it too)

lucky you have that, when my daughter was born, I had to use PTO, Vegas sucks for that one and not having paternity.

It looks like the family persevered!! If you look at the video the plane was reboarded with the family, the dad says the stewardess was let go. A happy ending!!! Yahhh!!!!

Most flight attendents I have come across, and I fly a lot, are attractive, polite, and sweet as pie if you are not an A hole. There are always the exception to the rule. Kudos for Spirit, who ultimately decided to let the family reboard the plane and left the hostile stewardess behind. Also, the woman next to them in the pic, seems sympathetic to them, so I don't think she was the snitch if anyone was... Airlines might finally be learning that people have had enough, it would be a welcome lesson if they learned it! I hate flying...

I'm just trippin though on what caused the issue since the baby is clearly eating.

2 years old is too young to be putting on a mask. I saw this happening to my family and I had we kept our flights to the bay last month. We ended up driving and didn't have to deal with that nonsense. Makes no sense to require masks for that young. Folks b wanting to say "trust the science", well where the f the science saying ages 2 got to wear a mask.

Off topic, George floyd ain't had no mask, yet folks want to flex that ages 2 and up need a mask but ain't said nothing about Floyd not having one after he said he just got Covid lol

The airlines don't have to be rational... they know that because they have been subsidized, rewarded, while Fcking this country up the collective duff. They can make these ridiculous policies while letting people sit in the middle seat in planes during the Covid crisis. Why not keep this seat open? and have rationale policies that allow children to occupy that seat with parents? They keep takeing, subtracting things, making people more misrable, and people are literally going insane as a result on some of these flights.

I swear I would love to flog the head of all the airlines and idiots that subsidize them unconditionally. That thinking is the result of things like that horrid stewardess demanding a child wear a mask... Let the airlines, sink, or swim, and have to provide decent service in exchange for subsidies. You want gov money? cut the crap with first class, business class, this class, that class, make airplanes comfortable for people... all people, and then yes, do like Amtrack and give them some help in times of crisis.

What you witnessed regarding the above is a psychological state where a person's neuro activity, their stress level regarding decisions, etc voluntarily shuts down in favor of an easy, instant solution. A good example... In Bosnia many Serbs who had lived next to ****** families for centuries... in one fell swoop, despite all the friendship, good will, trust, because of Nationalist rhetoric, people found it easier to murder and destroy the social fabric, than think about the situation. it is a real blind spot and a real cause of war and the possible destruction of the human race.

In other words: a person has, what is percieved as a legitimate chance to exerscize power. When defied the ego digs in. The person is invested: "Everyone wears a mask!" "Even though Joe and my family grew up together, went to school together, etc, Joe is the enemy!" or... "I may know the ***s as friends, and they helped me, but they are now the scape goat (Hitler).

Notice that nowhere in the process, does the person think and reason. I give you the authority! That authority is easy for me to use and use it I will. There is no rational process until an individual like that is stopped. That stewardess? She literally had to be taken off the plane.

I would hate to be on a long flight and have to mask up the entire time.
