I'd be happy to keep Torres as a back-up.

He is half-decent now. The problem is his massive wages. It makes sense for Chelsea to get rid of him and try something different due to FFP.

The thing with Torres is that since Benitez's fitness trainer came in he has rediscovered half a yard of pace and he has looked almost good. His game is all about pace. But his time is up really. He's had his chance.

I have a feeling that Mourinho will bring in an additional striker of his own choosing this season - not including Lukaku, who is rumored to be in Mourinho's plans for the upcoming season. A part of me thinks it to be Benzema for some reason, but this is just a gut instinct (and nothing that I have even seen being rumored).

I suspect this Chelsea Cavani bid is straight bull****.

Why would it be £50 million on offer when as yet the only thing that is obvious is that the Napoli Owner wants to sell him and that nobody has made an offer.

If anything Chelsea should go in with a derisory over of £5 million because that Napoli owner is clearly trying to fleece the club. Cavani has looked horrendous in the Confeds as well.

Porto are also trying to get £40 million for centre back nobody has ever heard of.

£18 million of Schurrle is fine but Chelsea need to stop being other clubs meal ticket and paying inflated prices. Beside, our squad is probably good enough to challenge as it is.

We need a top class holding midfielder more than a striker anyhow. Cavani would be abject. I'd have zero faith in that guy to be a success if we signed him.
