I was thinking this as well, but to my surprise, a couple of weeks ago I actually was feeling under the weather(Sore throat, runny nose, didn't sound like myself while talking, coughing-typical cold type stuff) and I was hesitant on taking our weekly covid test because I didn't want it to come back positive and they say "you have covid etc etc". I didn't want what I felt to be the common cold to be "covid".

I ended up taking the test to ease my wife's worry.

To my surprise, I was negative.

I guess the common cold does STILL exist, just from my experience at least.
