Toney.
He is not getting KO'd so negates Julian's great asset....

The story of Ray, Tommy and Roberto avoiding him is a myth.
They had bigger fish to fry, namely each other.
He would have lost to all three.
Bottle or no bottle.

Duran fans make almost as many excuses for his losses as Tyson's.
He lost to Ray and Tommy fair and square.
Also to Laing and Benitez....

So do I.
As for the question it's hard to say, I tend to think good but not great....

Welter in the late 70's - early '80's was simply incredible.
Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Benitez, Cuevas, Palomino.

It was not a demolition, it was a very close bout and undoubtedly Duran"s finest hour.
It was such a shame he utterly disgraced himself in the next fight.Mr Mitts likes this.

Either Dempsey by blitzing Gene early or a clinical Tunney masterclass.
I favour the latter result.

He got dropped but has always got back up.
His recuperative powers were almost supernatural - the resurrection being a prime example.
Not many heavyweights can say that they have never been KO'd.
Plus I believe the Fury of Vlad or Wilder 2 gives anyone in history...max baer
