I was wondering what kind of weight lifting routine compliments and works best with boxers, I’ve tried standard strength training but noticed I stagnated or even gained weight, and different websites and articles debate and contradict quite a bit. What routines do you guys recommend for a lean stronger build for boxing?

Baye is a very logical thinker and excels at explaining why certain approaches to resistance training are better than others.
I don't understand your comment about gaining weight. If you train a muscle with sufficient intensity it will grow larger and thus heavier.
That's what you want, isn't it?
If you want to lose weight while adding muscle you need to lose more bodyfat than you gain muscle.

I posted this in another thread. But you don't need much more than this for boxing, really.
Simple exercises. You bring the hard work and effort...that's the secret ingredient.

I’ll take a look into the website, and regarding weight, I found I sorta stayed the same weight when trying to cut but I’ll have to review calories of that time frame to see if it was more of a calories in/out issue, thank you!

So would just the standard lift heavy weight for low reputations suffice if I can keep it consistent?
