Weighing Out Portions, Am I Doing It Right?

    Hello Guys,

    Pot weighs 1090g
All my food + pot weighs 2266g

2266-1090 = 1176g, total weight of my food.
Total calories on my food is 3847 calories.
I weighed out everything I placed in the dish.

I take out 250g from the above as a portion to which I think will fill me up.

Now, would 250g/1176g =0.2125853413605 give me my portion size?
If the above is true then my total calories for one portion is 819 calories.

Am I doing this right or is it wrong somewhere?
I am asking this because, if true one portion would have 80g protein but I don't find satiated compared to when I eat 80g of chicken breast.

    Cheers.

    This is what you do.

    Buy a food scale.
Place a plate or bowl or container on the scale.
    Turn on the scale.
Put food that you want to eat, on the scale, one item at a time.
    Record that number.

You now have weighed your food the right way and should know the macros and caloric values of that food by logging that into an app or writing it down and referencing the values listed on the nutrition label of the food's packaging.

Example: 1 serving(portion) of plain chicken breast is usually 4oz about 112-114g. Scale says 112-114g, you have one portion of chicken.

Everything u buy has a nutritional count on the package usually. Each food will have a different ratio of macronutrients to weight. So u have to weigh each different food on their own and then ad them all up to find out what u are dealing with. If u want to look your best, you can’t worry about feeling full or satisfied. If u are suffering a bit, u are on the right track.

            That works too.

I should probably do the same but I really don't want to spend money on that.

They have a store by me, that's all they sell. Not cheap, but not that expensive either.
