Building up muscles for boxing.

Originally posted by Milchev View PostOkay, hello this is my first thread posted here I just recently joined this site. I was just wondering, as a 6"4 guy, should I be building up muscles for boxing? Because today with my trainer and a couple more students did a speed power test, and I got the least miles per hour, I got 23 milers per hour, and I felt as tall as the grass you feel me. I know you mostly don't need muscles for boxing, as it decreases your punching speed. But I was just wondering.
Thanks in advance

most ppl who comment on this has no experiance on the actual topic.( theres a few here). You may have to just work on more cardio if you put on size..every ones different bc you then carry more mass to carry.
As far as speed itself weights are a great way to improve it...just desighn a program that utilizes quick movements....weights in general are great for overall balance of the body and health.Look into resistance strength as well it will strengthen your tendons/ligaments ,improving ability to hit harder.Improve your own technique as well, tight muscles are slower,if you have long arms you can create more velocity with tightning up just before impact for one shot power punches.Last edited by juggernaut666; 07-07-2017, 08:03 PM.

I'll stick with what I know, it's hard enough to make weight before I pack on 10lbs of solid muscle, forcing me up 1 maybe 2 weight classes, remember as you go up the weight classes, people tend to get taller at the same time. For someone 6'4 like yo melchev is ok but for a 5'10 like me who fights at 160 going to 175 I may be one of the smaller LHW
Milchev, nearly all people will agree that technique beats power every time, I see people spending far too much time lifting than practicing their boxing skills

Creatine Monohydrate doesn't build muscle or make you faster. All it does is recycle cellular energy allowing the user to lift weights longer and/or at a higher intensity.
I can't just take creatine every day and sit on my ass and build muscle.Last edited by Mr.MojoRisin'; 07-08-2017, 10:22 AM.

"Creatine does two main things for performance athletes: it super-hydrates muscle cells, and it boost the production of ATP (which drives athlete's performance)." This wouldn't build muscle as a result of creatine usage or drive the muscles with more speed? SMH
Creatine STIMULATES dormant muscle tissues which help rebuild and strengthen the muscle itself but you have to ACTUALLY work not talk about it . Please can you say anything correct at least if you have no experiance on a subject ,your notion creatine doesnt help build muscle bc it wont build muscle if you sit on your ass is even below what you usually post ,jesus christ ....lolLast edited by juggernaut666; 07-08-2017, 10:53 AM.

You don't have to be a bodybuilder to give muscle building advice. You just have to know wtf you are talking about. Clearly YOU do NOT.
All ATP is is cellular energy you uneducated idiot. Hydrating muscle doesn't build muscle. Which is what he is asking so idk why you are even here?
No, by just eating creatine you won't build a single ounce of muscle. Protein builds muscle nitwit.
Creatine does not stimulate dormant muscles. You're a ****ing moron. Do you even research the products you recommend?
Of course taking the supplement and correct training/dieting will build muscle. You don't need supplements to build muscle or make you faster. Creatine won't make you a faster boxer. Pure dumbassry. Its posters like you who make this forum look bad. You already got PERMA banned from the other forum. Its just a matter of when not IF you get banned.Last edited by Mr.MojoRisin'; 07-08-2017, 01:21 PM.

Anyone who actually wants knowledge on training can PM me as i stay away from trolls like the kid who im responding too . Ive actually won NATIONAL titles ,he trains in his MOMS garage ?...go figure !
Anyone who takes this half wits advice about ANYTHING on training over me must be ******ED (the word i was banned shortly for) He gets kicked around everywhere ,and thats bc he THINKS knowledge is established by reading ,when its actually TRAINING and putting in the time !
Creatine delays fatigue ,that INCREASES the muscles work capability thus growth as well...it BUILDS muscle .Protein repairs the damaged tissue itself AFTER you train ,THATS how you get bigger .You wouldn't know that though ,YOU have to READ off the internet to get your info and you STILL say dumb shyte WRONG you idiot
Maybe i should just bump the dago dope / Mojo rising thread and SHOW exactly where you came from ,which was a little weasel who didnt even know what boxing gloves fit bc he (YOU ) never trained before up until 2 years ago ...now you know it all ?
The only thing that rises from you is continued ******ity and your quote below shows that BEFORE you backtracked like you knew what you were talking about ! You have to be one of the dumbest posters ive ever encountered and thats not even counting the other foolish remarks like Lennox Lewis would be more effective if he was 5 inches shorter ! lol
