I personally find that a beer 2 hours after exercise does good things. Keeps the circulation going (which helps to fight inflammation and circulate nutrients, IMO).
    Beer isn't just alchohol it has more electrolytes than milk which has more electrolytes than any juice/Gatorade drink...this study was done. Any amount of excessive alchohol will eventually dehydrate you. Beer will also relax the muscles dso that to would be an added benefit to heal quicker. Red Wine also has nitric oxide benefits
