Alright lads, new to the forum and boxing. Ive been to the local boxing gym a few times now and I really really enjoy it. I used to be in the military and I have been out for a couple of years just doing the odd bitin the gym. I havent had a circuit etc as good as in the boxing classes since the military and it feels great to be doing something like this again. In my local gym where I go in my spare time to do my CV and weights etc there is a small boxing room with a heavy bag and speed ball in it. You need your own gloves for the heavy bag so i bought myself a pair and some wraps. I have 2 questions, would you wear the wraps all the time for hitting the bag? Also this is my biggest question and sounds totally ******. When you hit the heavy bag how do you do it? eg, do you hit it when its coming towards you or going away from you or to the side or what? And how do you move around it? When it comes towards you do you move to the side then hit it? Or can you just hit it as its coming towards you. Sorry it sounds a bit complicated what im trying to get at and also ****** but ive got to start somewhere. Thanks alot for the help!

yes...wear ur handwraps at all times it helps decrease the risk of hurting ur wrists...far as the bag..act like its an opponent..hit up high, throw body shots..hooks etc on the side...the bag really shouldnt sway all that much if it does i say its due to Pushing punches instead of snappen and poppen em...the bag should really fold around ur hand on a good punch....
