    Calisthenics to save money

These can be at time as effective as weights and body weight exercises are useful to all sport, especially boxing, as they improve muscular endurance and give a snap to your punch! They are less taxing on your joints than weights and can be done any time, any where. So if you're on a trip for a few days and don't have access to a gym, here's your answer:

Aim for between 80-95% of your max. this will enable you to achieve this everytime rather than hitting failure!

    Press-ups 3 sets
    Feet-up Press-ups 2sets
    Dips 3 sets
    Chin-ups 3sets
    Inverted Row 3sets
    Back Extensions 3 sets
    Squats 4 sets
    Lunges 3 sets
    Wall Squat 2 sets
    Calf Raises 3 sets

You can also target max strength using calisthenics. I'm currently working towards one arm press ups, one arm chin ups, one legged squats, hand stand press ups etc on my strength days. It's all about progression!

Those are the best find of workouts for boxing. Better used during the amateur career due to having to keep the weight down during tournaments
