you've got some decent skills for a guy going into his first fight!
Yeah, definately concentrate on jabbing more, more straight shots, punching down the middle, you weren't swinging but the shots could be coming a little straighter from your face.
When jabbing make sure you get full extension and snap it in and out, body work is good, I agree a touch slappy but you can easily work on that, just focus on whipping the hips for power and to really dig it in.
I like your left hook, countered well with it, try thinking about speed more than power, the power will come easily with the speed.
Remember, if you think about being faster, you will be.
Also try to incorporate some rapid fire combinations then get out and back on your jab, it will catch the judges attention and will give you confidence, as well as a chance to hurt your opponent. Remember to keep the punches sharp and bring them back to your guard etc.
Footwork could be a little quicker, a bit more on your toes, but you seem to have good balance though. I saw some nice feints too.
One last thing, neither of you seemed to want to take control of the ring. You should be looking to take control of the centre, using your jab to keep him at bay, getting in close on your own terms. When the bell sounds, get the centre of the ring immediatley unless he is bigger than you, if that's the case the focus on getting in and out, staying on the outside when he's jabbing, with the aim of moving in to smother his punches. Use the jab to get in and out. When you're the same size you want to take control of that ring, the jab is your friend.
All in all, you looked good, and proved to have some good skills,
best of luck!

the negatives.. u look a bit sluggish, should try to be a bit quicker. u throw to few straight shots, like u said yourself. when u throw combinations, especially to the body u drop both hands. for example most of the time when u threw a liver shot u was open for a counter left hook to the head. u was open for uppercuts too, only the last guy made u pay for it but i saw it from round one.
positives.. for someone whos looking to fight for the first time u are very good. u are relaxed, keep your hands up well most of the time, good balance. you got the basics down, if u just use your jab more and correct some minor mistakes u will take it to the next level. and like i said you are more than ready for your first fight as it is.
good luck
what weight will u be fighting at btw?
