    Is Running the Fastest way to lose weight?

    Question running everyday for about 30-45 minutes is that the fastest way to lose weight or at least look slimmer? Just got a treadmill and wanted some tips. I am more concerned about looking slimmer than losing weight, if i look more slim without losing much weight i am totally ok with that, i wouldnt be happy with losing a weight and not looking like i am.

    With a good diet it would be a rocket way to slim your self! Without a diet, you aint getting **** out of running!

      A Protein diet (grilled chicken breast / boiled fish), very few carbs (bread, pasta, white rice), reduce sugary foods and increase good cardio work like running daily will shift the weight off anyone in quick time. A bit of weights work will ensure you look better as fat reduces.

      Downsides include increased fatigue if you under carb too much, mood swings (I really missed chocolate and the odd bit of junk food) and a tendency to put weight on super fast when you go back to normal eating and no training.

        Diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. High intensity training is superior to aerobic training when it comes to fat loss. So no, 45 minutes of running is not the best way to lose weight. You'll be better off doing 5-6 800m sprints, high intensity circle training, tabata intervals, or anything else with a high intensity.

          I'm on the same boat as you, I just got myself a treadmill and I really want to get rid of this beer belly, So I think that with a good diet and a good work out is more then enough.

                i was 167 lbs a few months ago.
                a combination of cutting out junk foods (for the most part), and going to the gym with some CV exercise did the trick.
                remember plenty of water. use water to get rid of hunger. eat celery if you want something to eat.

                    starving yourself will slow your metabolism. you're better off laying out a diet and exercise plan and sticking to it
