Keith Thurman Asked For 10 Million Dollars To Fight Terence Crawford

If that's true then Keith Thurman is a damn fool! There is no way in Hell Top Rank would invest that kind of dough in a fighter with no proven track record of being a crossover, box office and main****** draw among casual fans.

What sponsor or investor in their right mind would risk that kind of money in a Crawford/Thurman fight? Bob is a shrewd business man. He won't lose Millions of dollars in lost revenue for this fight to happen; Especially without a gate.

If this true, then it sounds to me that Keith really doesn't want the fight and is only pricing himself out in order to save face. However, I would reserve judgement until I hear Team Thurman's side of the story.

Team Crawford said they wanted Shawn Porter or was that Bob Arum? You don’t need to lie to prove your point, Crawford nor Shawn want to fight each other. Crawford has bigger fish to fry. At this point in his career he wants to unify or fight a big name (that wants to fight), stop trying to push a false narrative. We know what your doing already.

which one is it...hes not ducking anyone and "never turned down no fighter" or is he only chasing titles? at this point why not give porter a call and try to work it out? it would be the best name on his resume and his toughest test to date by a good margin.....porter is a well known name and fans no hes no easy out for anyone....what better does crawford have? hes not getting spence next...hes not getting danny next....it appears theres no thurman for him......maybe theres a glimmer of hope of getting pac but thats a longshot.....

if he doesnt get pac next what better fight is there for crawford? there isnt one.......when bob arum said they were eyeing porter thats it....that means bob was talking about it and wanted to pursue it...bob arum is a alot of things but hes a legend and hes the one who calls the shots and hes the one who built crawford as far as promotion.......unless of course arum was just running his mouth hoping to get everyone to believe that the pbc are all scared and ducking..hoping nobody from the other side(porters) would say anything and they could sucker the whole world into thinking porter was avoiding crawford.....makes sense right?! of course it does

we all know porter will take that fight...he has nothing to lose....its crawford who doesnt want a tough nights work against a guy that made a great fight with spence....

I don't know any of these current welterweights making 8 figures or better, but I'm not opposed to any debates or others posting sources that say otherwise. Manny's the exception.

Keith may want to do a bit of research and see how many Crawford opponents made anything close to $10M. Most don't even pull in $1M to face Bud.

Most opponents brought in to face Top Rank cash cows don't make anything over $5M...if that.

I don't like to get into the money side of things. Other than to say, it is becoming apparent that Boxers don't seem to understand how economies and recessions work. Keith Thurman has always had an unrealistically high opinion of himself and his worth to the Boxing world. Likelihood is he looking for a lottery payday to ride off into the sunset after getting leathered by Terrence Crawford. Because that's what would happen.

It should be ongoing negotiations.... Common sense the initial offer is always bullshyt. If i guy asks for 10 that means he fishing for 6.
If he ask for 6 he fishing for 3.
If he ask for 3 he fishing for 1.

The very fact that he a challenger who was never on PPV before fighting Pac and just lost his title has the gall to ask for 10 million(during a pandemic) shows he was never serious in the first place. Crawford is working to secure the Pac fight not waste time with ****ery like this.
