While it would surely suck for him not to fight the other light heavyweight title holders, I wouldn't trash a fighter for signing with the promoter of his chosing, he may have his reasons for it. Unless he signed to some witness protection program type of promoter unwilling to work with the other promoters. Calling him out for fighting on DAZN looks similar to trashing Crawford for choosing Top Rank over PBC. I'm disappointed with the level of competition he was facing after Pascal, up till now, but let's wait a couple of months and see what happens. I see a couple of possible promissing options. As he's a tiny light heavyweight, he already said he wanted to drop to 168 to face Smith, than said the same about Canelo. My guess is they are probably going to keep him for one of the Canelo's later fights on the contract, if Bivol doesn't make a fight with another light heavyweight titlist in the meantime. There's a couple of scenarios: First of all we have to see what happens in between Canelo and Kovalev and if Kovalev loses by any chance, he's automatically getting the 2 or 3 fight deal with DAZN (which is weird, but I guess it's great for Kov), in that case it would mean a possible fight between Bivol and Kovalev in the future. Than if he beats Kovalev, DAZN could promote Canelo vs Bivol as a battle of P4P level fighters who both beat Kov. Plus throw Smith in the mix right between the possible Kovalev and Canelo fights and he has 3 great names on his resume. But yeah, I'd personally prefer to see him mixing it up with the other light heavyweight title holders first.

"Castillo is a tough opponent"... he's ranked at #96 by Boxrec...
Why doesn't boxing have a law that when a champion is not fighting a top 15 ranked boxers that fight is not a title fight , This fight should be 10 round non title
