I think his ability to enter a fight with the judges having their score cards filled out prior to the fight starting is a huge asset. But really I think ring IQ also along with his head movement. He controls the distance and is always in a position to punch.Look how he flipped the script on ggg.I think he has a habit to fade a little in the late rounds and it could cost him vs a young fighter who wins a few of the rounds 1-6 .Jacobs blew his chance by not standing his ground more and trying to make something dramatic happen.Everytime he started to let his hands go Canelo made him eat ****.

      ... of course he's "protected"...

... of course that his opponents should stop him in order to be sure that they actually win... but they were not able to stop him, so far...

I don't understad why any fighter would abandon the uppercut. Does loads of damage. I know it's not easy to land at times, but I think a seasoned pro should understand when to throw and even in a risky situation, it can be worth the risk. Excellent post, man!
        IDK bro.
McGregor landed that sweet uppercut on Mayweather of all people.
        Just bustin your nut bro.
        Lol.
Seriously though Connor must have some fast twitch fibres.
Too bad he gasses and doesn't have any power.

I've often wondered about this. It's easy to say that a shorter man is at a deficit, until you start studying Mike Tyson and what he accompished by being the shorter man just about every time out. It is much more difficult to go to the body on a short man. I guess, and I don't know much, that maybe an Alexis Arguello technique might come in handy of setting canelo up and looking to land the straight right hand to the solar plexus rather than looking for the hooks downstairs. Maybe? Just a theory of course. Great input, man!

Imo , it’s his movement in the ring , the way he cuts off the ring
By doing so he manages to get his opponent where he wants
I attribute this skill to his loss with Mayweather
Floyd cut the ring off very well , always to try to position himself better to land
It also helps defensively cause you should be in a better position to weave , to roll away basically not get hit
You know, I see how much I don't know. Haha. I always pictured cutting off the ring as moving to your right if you're right handed and keeping the pressure on a fighter who is moving around the ring. However, this is a great point. Canelo does cut off the ring as did Mayweather but they do it in a different way. Canelo definitely closes that gap time and again which I guess is wmore what it's about. I'm learning a lot here. Thanks so much, man!

But that's just one side to what makes him great.
Odviously he has to be skilled enough to pull of what they are trying to achieve.
No doubt. It seems that the guys who have solid teams that they stick with and actually do listen to, tend to do better. It's got to be more difficult when you can't rely on a good corner to tell you what you're doing wrong from the outside perspective.

Yes! I think he's definitely gifted. He's comfortable enough that he can get there and he doesn't take ****** risks to do it. He found Khan with that left hook early and it's like he just knew. He throws with confidence because he already knows he's got a very high chance of landing because of positioning. Thanks for enlighting me, my friend!

Hahaha. For a guy who never boxed, I think he did fine.

                    The difference between the two
It came natural to Floyd , Alvarez has to work for it
But imo , this is something he saw in his loss and was taught to him , brought to his attention
As Canelo keeps fighting it will become easier on the eyes

                      It's strange with Nelo.
He just seems to do enough to win even when he could of easily lost.
I think it has alot to do with his demeanor his confidence flashy combos face of boxing etc etc.
