Why is Shelley Finkel obsessed with putting matchroom out of business?

Is it because he’s jealous and showtimes / PBCs quality is rapidly declining and less and less people are watching and DAZN is on the up?

Is it because he deep down wishes he was the one who had Joshua and would rather have Joshua than Wilder?

What makes this man so obsessed with Matchroom and putting them out of business?

    Cuz he hates Hearn.

Why should Wilder take less so Hearn can rescue his DAZN deal? Why not wait it out and let Hearn lose the DAZN deal, forcing Hearn to make the fight on PPV like Wilder wants.

Finkel isn't trying to put Matchroom out of business ... He and Deontay are waiting for DAZN to sack Eddie Hearn, so Eddie will have to make the fight on Showtime PPV!

Question-assuming the same number of people purchase the fight whether it is on DAZN or PPV, which model would pay the boxers more money?

DAZN would. Showtime pays haymon the big buck not the fighters.

If the fight doesn't meet sales expectation than yes, DAZN would pay more because DAZN pays the fighters a flat fee while PPV pays fighters a percentage of the sales.

Most expect Wilder/AJ to do a huge number of sales. PPV's are priced higher. Therefore if the fight meets or exceeds expectations (a reasonable assumption for this fight), they would both make much more on PPV.

That's also the reason Hearn hasn't signed AJ to DAZN. He knows he can make more money with PPV
