    New To Boxing

Hey All, looking for some help for a new boxing fan. I have been watching ufc for years but looking to get into boxing. Im a bit overwhelmed with all the weigh divisions and the championships for WBO, WBC. Could somebody explain which divisions have the best main****** fights and which governing body ( wbo, wbc) is the most important? Please no ignorant comments lol. Also is there any schedule for upcoming title fights? Thanks all in advance

Welterweight and Middleweight have been having the most main****** recently. Wilder's last two fights and Vlad vs Joshua were main******.

The WBC is considered the most prestigious belt. The IBF is the most by the book. Fat Dan should have a fight schedule.

Best advice if you are new to boxing is to not be the typical phaggot MMA fan and you'll get along nice. It's cool to watch boxing and MMA, but the MMA crowd are a bunch of butt-plug inserters

        Cool bro.
I knew next to nothing about boxing a few years back but watching alot of fights this year and being a regular on boxing scene I have learnt alot.
Boxing is Soo much better than UFC.
It's just a sweeter science as they say.
Just looks more brutal and professional compared to MMA.

If the weight divisions overwhelm you, have you thought about the NFL? Or local bowling leagues to follow? Just to keep the anxiety down.

            Welcome to the club brother.

The easiest way to learn what you need to know is to just watch as many fights as you can.

Edit: Yeah, it's a crazy sport to follow with a lot of history which has made it complicated over time. Also, a lot of people behind the scenes benefit from the complexity so there's little drive to simplify things. In the end though, a lot of exposure by watching fights will clarify a lot for you.

Heavyweight (Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua) and Middleweight (Canelo, GGG) might have heard those names? have been quite main****** recently.

Basically there's four governing bodies (WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF) which are all considered important. The WBC is the oldest and therefore considered the most prestige but they're all World title belts so in all reality they all matter.

There's loads of us on here who enjoy watching boxing and UFC so don't listen to the silly kunts who'll say stuff like "boxing is sooooo much better than the UFC". Two different sports which can be enjoyed without having to compare them to each other.

              Schedule below

Title fights are all marked and highlighted.

Exactly I was like WTF is up with all these belts.
I thought their would be one guy one division.
I was like I'm never going to sort out this much info.
Just keep watching fights and read alot of boxing scene and it starts coming into focus.

The WBC, WBA, WBO and the IBF are all about equal. Good fights are happening in many weight class. I like 147, 160, 168 and 175 but there are good fighters in all weight classes. Boxing Scene will tell you about all future title fights well in advance. Just click on boxing schedule.
