"I think the fans are clamoring just to see him fight somebody. Hopefully none of the people and the organizations trying to get in the wayare going to be able to." - Abel Sanchez

The IBF is not trying to "get in the way." Derevyanchenko is not trying to change the date or the venue! I can understand the excuse for Andrade because he's a southpaw, but there's no excuse for swerving Derevyanchenko, other than he might beat GGG, and ruin the Canelo rematch, and that's a piss poor excuse! That's clearly a DUCK!

If he fights 3 or 4 times a yr i dont mind if theres a bum or 2, but hes not, atm hes lucky to fight twice a yr, so I dont want him to waste them, if your not gonna test yourself thats fine, but youll lose me as a fan (big loss haha)

My point still stands though. Abel talked all that crap about Charlo having fought nobody at 160 but doesn't have a problem with them bringing Vanes up from 154 for a fight. Heck or even Brook up for a fight(although we know that was about money)
The IBF hasn't ordered GGG to fight Derevyachenko and there is no way Derevyachenko's team is signing off on money for a non-PPV short notice fight. Moreover, the mandatory for GGG belts will have plenty of time to fight GGG while Canelo serves his ban.

That's IF Canelo is even suspended. The IBF hasn't ordered the fight but that won't stop Dibella from taking legal action against them, as I said it's been over 2 years since he fought a mandatory and since the IBF prides themselves as one of the only orgs out there that follows their own rules it's not gonna look good. We don't know what Derevyachenko's team is willing to sign off on as the fight hasn't even been offered to them despite them saying he is available for the short notice fight. Guess we'll see what happens within the next week or so.

I am with you. Is that the 154 lb one? If so hope they pick him and beat his punk*** . Then they can beat the bigger one too. But we wont see that. To me it isnt about titles anymore. Yes he wants BJS Title. He should fight Saunders, Charlo, Jacobs, Canelo maybe atleast one more time. The move up and face Ramirez and Benevidez eventually before retiring. Screw Dev and Andrade. Let them fight liek Myrata and others.

It wouldnt be a good deal for Golovkin to take this fight on short notice and Dibella is just blowing hot air. Time will tell.

They've gone from a PPV in Vegas to a possible regular HBO at the Stub Hub, the fans are clamoring so much.

I always defended GGG because I think he is a good boxer and would fight anyone in his prime.
I dont like the way he is handled.

I am no fanboy and NO I dont want to see him fight Vanes.

I would prefer to watch him fight Andrade or Charlo, win or loose.

I would like to watch him fight BJS.

The "Mega Fight" has really hurt boxing. Golovkin used to be considered an active fighter when he was fighting 3X a year.
Things changed when negotiations began for a fight with Alvarez. These talks gave us endless hype and one fight to show for it.
The quest for the giant payday affects the whole sport. Good, young prospects don't fight each other because a loss would hurt their chance for that big payday.
It's all risk/reward now and that sucks.
A person has to really like boxing to keep dealing with this ****.
