Comments Thread For: Hearn Sides With Joshua's Position: No Face To Face With Wilder

Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), believes his fighter is absolutely correct in rejecting the idea of going face to face with Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) next week. Joshua will collide with WBO world champion Joseph Parker in a unification showdown on March 31 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

I'm sure the real reason for this is because Wilder is not who they plan to fight next and hearn does not want Wder to hype everyone up when their real target is Tyson Fury

He must've read boxingscene's comment section.

Y'all continue to supply him with excuses. Sad.

I must admit, GGG going into the ring after the Canelo vs. Chavez Jr. fight, did look like some silly azz WWE ****!

Joshua and his promoter are acting like *****es. A face to face...should Joshua win...would build this fight up tremendously. In my opinion...Joshua knows that if he allowed Wilder to confront him in his own country then he will be pressured by his OWN fans to fight sooner than he wants. I hope Wilder goes up there anyway and causes a scene

Sounds like Hearn and AJ have different plans and want nothing to do with Wilder. Brit fans need to stand up after the Joshua/Parker fight, assuming Joshua wins, and start chanting "We want Wilder." The Brit fans need to demand the Wilder/Joshua fight now. I am sick of waiting for this fight and I don't want to wait any longer.

That's entirely the point, why bother? Joshua is not fighting Wilder next, so why bother building it? I think the problem is that Wilder does not understand the business of boxing, he's out there wanting to share a ring with AJ to create some kind of buzz, but AJ doesn't need him, he's taking a path that hauls in the cash whilst taking credible opponents, when they finally are scheduled then AJ will do the marketing, cos thats business.

                1. Hearn and JOSHUA are both PETRIFIED scared of WILDER!!

                2. WILDER agrees to 40% while JOSHUA takes 60%. If WILDER wins he gets the 60% in rematch.

                3. WILDER will fight him in UK

                4. JOSHUA showed his hand by b%itching out on WILDER entering the ring to hype the mega fight.

Lost much respect for JOSHUA and HEARN!!!
