I wish the fight was more entertaining. Absolute joke Danny got a split... What does this guy do to get such favorable judging?

Really? This is the narrative? Garcia wasn't doing anything for most of the fight himself so why blame Thurman? Garcia was only the aggressor in like three rounds, the rest was Thurman, especially the first half of the fight where he was very aggressive. If course he's going to have to slow it down to preserve energy midway through and in some later rounds, can't keep your foot on your gas the entire time or else he would get gassed.

The narrative should be "Thurman clearly beat and outclassed Garcia."
      ... something like that..................

That's what I'm not getting. Thurman was the more aggressive fighter for the majority of the fight. Even when he moved excessively he threw and landed more in most rounds. He sure as hell landed the larger number of clean punches in the 12th despite moving like he did.

Just because you're moving doesn't mean you're not still fighting. People automatically assume moving=running=losing.

Just as Brook exposed Porter better than Keith did.

Thurman is just in the right place at the right time. A 40yr old Mayweather could rather easily UD him.
I just hate this word EXPOSED. Danny lost fight by SD, and now was he exposed???

I am not his fan, but c´mon, be fair, you guys expect fighters to take challenge, but once they lose you say they were EXPOSED...??

Part of the narrative when it comes to Garcia. There will no doubt be some posters in here who will only give him 3-4 rounds for this fight. When it comes to Garcia, common sense goes out the window.

Garcia wasn't exposed tonight because he has already been exposed.... I gave Danny four or five rounds. Besides that, he's just a very basic fighter. Very ordinary and far too slow. My dad is as big a casual as any and even he said that he couldn't believe Danny ever was unified. At 147 he's just far too out of his depth., and this is a watered down division at the moment.

Herrera out hustled him years ago. Worst robbery I have ever seen.

Peterson won every second of the five rounds he decided to show up. I had Garcia winning by the way.

Garcia looked like a sparring partner in there. Keith literally wasn't even winded at the end of the fight he had his with with Danny. It was pretty shocking once Thurman got on his toes...Danny could land nothing and looked like a buffoon trying to step to Thurman. He didn't have a single answer for anything towards thise latter rounds. The fight was so one sided that the judge who gave it to Danny isn't even hiding it.

Seriously...how utterly lost did Danny look? I didn't see him as a favorite this fight but I didn't think the skill discrepency would be so damn wide

Love the comment on the first page that Danny (who couldnt mKe 140) is too small. Lmfao. Thurman was once seen as a HUGE 147 and Danny seemed bigger imo. Danny used to enjoy some real serious size advantages at 40.

I saw the fight as clearly a Thurman win!

I was not surprised by the judge who gave the fight to Garcia! Not because I think he deserved it but we all know how this sport can be! Clearly Thurman did not let Garcia fight his fight until he was well ahead on the score cards!

What I really thought was that Angel Garcia always makes fights harder for his son! He made this fight personal for Thurman at the same time alienating many in boxing!

As for a rematch let Danny wait in line! Angel keep your mouth shut! Danny is a good fighter he will get another shot in time!

Anyone remeber the punch stats for rounds 11 12

Even tho thurman was backing up he was making dsg miss and was connecting himself
