Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner Returns To Win Split Decision Over Granados

Broner is a decent fighter, but he's nothing like Mayweather. I don't want him to ever make that comparison again in any conversations. He needs to have a little more self discipline and fight at that 140 mark where he has power, because he fought a guy that had lost or drawn 1/4 of his fights and it was still a very questionable outcome tonight. I would've guessed a draw, but apparently Broner's sharper punching and better power shots made the difference. Granados was right about the weight, the scales and possibly a little hometown cooking. I'd like to see more of Granados fighting. He seems like a good dude and puts on a good show. But yea, agreeing with the guy above...and old Pacquiao annihilates Broner. He's not an elite fighter above 140. He's not active enough (Paulie talking about Broner taking too many lulls in rounds). No offense to their crew, but I'd like to see him with a new trainer, as well.

Granados is a hard luck guy but I don't like that style. Give me at least some slickness - don't run forward with your head down.

Very good fight. Could have gone either way. If it went 12 Granados might have pulled it off.
Broner isn't beating any of the top dogs in the division. His power doesn't translate and he has too many defensive lapses.
Broner should drop back down to Junior Welterweight if not fight a guy like Amir Khan next to gadge his skills more in the division.
Granados hopefully gets another big fight again. He's a handful for anyone in either division.

Ok, I don't practically like broner, but he definitely did enough to win this fight, close rounds, but overall did just about enough...
I understand the hate, but credit it to him in a way....
He will eventually get eaten alive though.
You want to give him chances, but he burnt so many chances at this stage, if he steps in the ring with Peterson it will end very badly for him, god knows what the like of Garcia or Thurman will do to him
