He should be. He recovered beautifully and made it into a fight. Most people thought he was outclassed after the 2nd.

Kovalev is definitely Ward's best win, regardless as to what he says.

I 100% understand why he is playing games.

Agreed, guy's got balls. Although a limited fighter he's very clever to have gotten things to work out the way they did. Essentially making him the great fighter that he is.

I keep reading these guys talk about '' Kovalev landed the harder shots!'' but what about ring-generalship who was dictating the fight? where they fought when they fought? who had better defense throughout the fight? that's what separates boxing from a street-fight -- skills trumps power in this game.
I agree 100% but casuals will never be able to comprehend. They will scream robbery to anyone who will listen. I had one friend who is a casual fan ask me, how can Ward win the fight when he got knocked down in the second round. To him if you get knocked down there's no way you can win the fight. I tried to explain it to him but he still didn't understand and that's what you get with casual fans.

The fight could have went either way depending on how you scored it and I personally wouldn't have been mad with the decision either way. With that said I scored it 7-5 Ward plus the knockdown, so I had it 114-113 Ward live watch. I plan on watching the fight again with no sound and score it again to see what result I get.
