Of course in an ideal world i'd prefer it not to happen but i just feel people are being overly harsh coz it's Garcia.

Garcia has every right to tell Spence to earn his shot, he's fought no one as of yet and whilst the boy clearly has the talent to be right in the mix he has to prove it against a top guy.

Say what you want about Garcia but he's earnt the right to tell someone like Spence he needs to earn his shot.

Garcia has been in fights in which he was supposed to lose. Spence hasn't as of yet...or even in a 50-50 matchup.

Like i said doe...in an ideal world it doesn't happen. But it isn't an ideal world so i say **** it he fights Vargas, gets that out of the way and then moves onto the massive 50-50 fight with Keith Thurman.

Faulty logic everywhere in this post. Spence has to earn his right to fight garcia? GTFO!!!

Boxing is supposed to be a competitive sport but it isnt. Theres no "real" rankings boxers move up in. None of the silly organizations have a "merit" based ranking. What did mayweather do to get a shot at hernandez?

What did andre dirrell do to get the chance to fight all the top guys at 168 in the supersix? What did lomachenko do to deserve a title shot in his second fight? Hell loma has 7 fights and 6 have been for or defending a top title.

You cant even say they deserve the title shots because they were draws. Hell Dirrell disgusted everyone at hbo with his atg performance against stevens.

I wont even mention that stuff about spence being in fights where he could have lost or 50/50 fights. That makes no sense at all. First you write about spence having to earn his chance at garcia and then you complain that spence has fought no challenges so he doesnt deserve a fight with garcia. No logic in those arguments and a classic catch 22 case.

Not only does your logic make no sense, but it's also based on things danny garcia hasnt even done. Spence has to earn his shot at garcia at 147? What did garcia even do to deserve a shot at the 147 title in his second bout at that weight?

He was p4p after Matthysse, like he should have been. He dropped off because of the terrible run he has been on since, as he should have. That Morales-Matthysse run was fantastic but he can't live on that forever. He has not deserved p4p 10 for a long time now.

If he beats Thurman or someone equal, he'll go right back on the list.

if he cant live on that forever, why is it GGG..... hasnt fought the type of competition his entire career he in some peoples top 3-4?

Garcia has fought a wide array of styles...every out isnt going to be pretty or spectacular

Like after he did when he beat the forum boogyman Matthysse? Matthysse was gonna kill him and Danny was apparently terrified of him according to 99% of our resident geniuses on here if i remember correctly.

He's getting slaughtered for fighting Vargas next but what about him fighting Thurman after that? That's a massive fight and one that both guys should get major props for taking if it happens. If he beats Thurman will you gladly accept that dollop of egg right in the middle of your foreheads?

Even though he's cherry picked Salka and Vargas, Danny still has a better resume than most around at this moment in time.

I personally don't mind him fighting Vargas next as long as they've agreed to Thurman after that.

Cherrypick has gotten some VERY favorable decisions that should have gone the other way imo. Now, he might face a guy with more promotional value than himself, so getting a lucky decision likely won't be in his favor.

Plus, given the way he eats shots, I think Thurman catches and hurts him. Maybe his pops throws in the towel or he just gets beaten up down the stretch en route to a UD loss.
