    No

    He would have still lost.

If GGG can use his face to steam roll Brook. He would still have lost eventually. GGG is just a bigger man. There is a reason for weight divisions we have 2 examples of that with Khan Canelo and now Brook GGG.

Advice to this dudes stay on your weigt division if you dont want to damage your health.

GGG was beating him like a dog, so, hell no. Building up some weight and muscles does not make you stronger boxer. Brook had no chance.

Come on, did you watch the fight? Brook got a savage beating from the very start of the fight. Just boxing a little here and there wouldn't help Brook in any way. He was getting hit everywhere I'm sure he is very sore today and feeding off a straw.if the eye socket had not been broken then the ribs and jaws would have been broken.

Kudos for brave effort from Brook. But his power would never be enough to keep Gennady off him and that's GAME OVER.
I think Brooks powers was better than anyone GGG has been in with. GGG gave himself a fair score of 3 or 4 out of 10.

Brook did well. He was getting tagged, but he was also finding the rhythm of his defense. I was surprised how well he was countering. He stopped countering in the last round, but was still being good defensively.

Id actually like to see a rematch, it was a classic UK too early stoppage where there are unanswered questions, because some of Brooks punches bothered GGG if he admit it or not, we all saw him get rocked by the uppercut and grab on.

GGG would have probably closed it out, but we will never know now because they pulled Brook out early.

Would rather quit then go out on the sheild in his biggest fight
Thats not really fair to Brook, he seemed quite upset they threw in the towel. I think he could have continued and he probably felt the same.

I think he could've made it to the 8th or 9th round if it wasn't for the injury.
There was that right hand in I don't know what round it was, but I was so surprised that Brook didn't go down from it. It was such a clean punch and had so much leverage behind it, and completely spun Brooks head around.

GGG is a guy that gets warmed up for a few rounds which is what happened last night. i dont care if he got "outboxed" or looked vulnerable. Thats expected with anyone that has good movement, not a stiff like most of the boxers he's faced before.

It was only until the beginning of round 3 where his orbital bone broke and it just went downhill from there

Had he not broke it would have the rest of the rounds been like round 2?
I know his orbital bone broke because of GGG but had it never happened you'd have to believe Kell may have continued with similar success as rounds 1 and 2
So: the brave guy got hospitalized and he's scheduled to undertake eye socket surgery -- which will keep him away from (top level) boxing for at least one year... right?

By the way: Compubox had Golovkin outlanding Brook in all the 5 rounds (133/301, 44.2% vs 85/261, 32.6%)...

LOL at if Brook didn't get his face f#cked up he'd have won crowd.

I mean its not like boxing turns into a game of double dutch in round 7 or something. Brook's face couldn't handle 15 minutes with GGG & its a getting hit in the face for 36 minutes sport so he had 21 more minutes of face shots coming at him.

Respect to Brook's performance as he was certainly even more competitive than I suspected & I thought he would do well already so that says something right there, but this is hardly some sort of Meldrick Taylor getting his fight stopped with Julio Cesar Chavez with 2 seconds left type of performance of what could have been if it'd have gone on further.

If Brook's eye hadn't got busted up in the 3rd it'd have gotten busted up in the 6th or 7th or he'd just got straight flattened in the 9th or whatever. There way way too much time on the clock for much of a moral victory.

And I don't see Brook dominating at 154, I think he's getting outboxed by at least half the top 5 or 6 guys there.

Also anyone got the official scores of GGG vs Brook? Curious how much credit Brook got by the judges.
