agreed. Bob Arum is picking fights with the UFC on the promoter/manager side, not the fighters. The UFC is run like a league and Dana White (or the real management) promote the show and hire the fighters. The Ali Act is supposed to prevent this conflict of interest (ie. one person trying to keep costs of the event down while still representing the fighter when negoitating purses). It's why boxing has more in common with a rock concert and UFC a European soccer league. I like the way boxing is organized in no small part because it is so chaotic most of the time, helps with the drama. The downside is great fights often never get made because there are alot of negotiating parties that need to reach an agreement before a fight happens while the UFC just sends down orders to fighters because they're The Big Show and can dictate just about whatever they want because it's so contained.

UFC fans are an intersting demographic, the majority are Whites for sure, but not all are trump supporters, you have the UFC white male conservative fan, and the other side is the ******* white guilt atheist UFC fan usually from Canada. I read Sherdog a lot and noticed this type of split.

The next biggest minority is Latinos, followed by Asians and then Blacks.

Latinos are huge UFC fans, and so are Asians, Blacks watch it but only tune in for the Black fighters like Jon Jones, and Anderson Silva.

One thing is for sure UFC attracts way more women fans than Boxing, Females love UFC over boxing. This hot white girl told me Boxing is boring and UFC is more exciting and bad ass. Seems she fell for the marketing and commercial advertising and hype.

If you compare a UFC fight on average the fights are boring, very little action guys circle jabbing timing waiting to take down or throw a shot they will do this on average for minutes before attacking. Yet they consider this exciting, that means they already developed the notion that UFC is more exciting.

You get some exciting MMA fights though, but those are the exception to the rule now ever since fighters have evolved into more refined technical all around fighters, UFC was at its most exciting in the early days of Gracie and the early 2000s when guys were starting to train in all aspects, because they were willing to throwdown still. Now guys are point fighters more.

I respect them as athletes and fighters but you'll never see a novice like Brock Lesnar win a title in boxing. 1-4 fights and win a title with little experience....He was a national level wrestler, NCAA champ but if he had to fight a kickboxer in a kick boxing match or a boxer in a boxing match, he wouldnt last very long. No stamina and no experience

Most of our A-1 amatuers dont even do well in the pros, regardless of country they are from.

At some point people have to realize, they are two separate sports. You're right Brock Lesnar wouldn't win in a sport like boxing because he isn't and never was a boxer! He's invloved in a sport that requires a diverse set of fighting skills, hence the name mixed martial arts. Arum is always attempting to discredit MMA by putting accusatory statements that are completely fact free. Anyone that uses the argument of a lack of diversity in the actual sport itself, doesn't know it. I wouldn't worry about Dana supporting Trump either, I recall Don King singing the praises of George W. Bush not too long ago, but people with millions of dollars in power positions tend to support the ********** candidate. No surprise there.
Just a little advice to everyone out there, ignore the promoters and their BS. They're always looking for an angle to discredit the competition, it's what they do. Enjoy the sports and the athletes that make the sports great. Have a good one.

you too....i respect both sports..just wish people who never participated didnt try to group them togther...I wrestled in high school, did boxing my early 20s and tae kwon do as a kid....they are worlds apart, even just down to the stance, footwork, weight distribution....wrestling your weights on the front leg and boxing its the rear leg...took me a long time to get used to it.
