Doubled so 10 mill , this place is like Fantasy Island .

It would have made no difference the people that were going to buy bought anyway , the big PPV increase came from not doing it too early allowing the lasso to collect more casuals .

All they give you there is estimates for PPV. Remember nobody new Money/Pac would sell as many PPV as they did however IMO the brutal KO Manny suffered to Marquez hurt the hype behind the fight. They could have sold even more PPV's if Pac didn't get KO'd the way he did.

Whether it would have sold more PPV in 2010 is subjective but i doubt it. Like Reloaded said, those who were willing to buy it in 2010 bought it in 2015 and the whole pissing contest between the 2 and their fanbases and the 5+ years of free promotion by the press and social media even got more casuals interested.

What group changed their mind ? the hardcore they were buying no matter what , the casuals they were also already hooked with the media coverage touching everywhere across the globe .

There was enough time and wins after JMM to allow the excuses to get going and as with everything Manny the fanboys were still all preaching about Manny running Floyd over .

I doubt very much it would have made any difference at all as the fight was already built as high as it could have been built , it was the perfect storm and probably wont be repeated again in your lifetime .

According to Manny's numbers he lost fan support rather casual or hardcore.
After the KO loss he couldn't sell 800k!

MANILA, Philippines ?Boxing fans have long been raving for a super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
But according to Yahoo! Sports, the two pound-for-pound kings could have fought in 2010 if not for a snag in their supposed fight contract.

Manny Pacquiao (R) and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole cited that Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) had sent a fight contract to Top Rank Inc., guaranteeing a 50-50 revenue split for the two boxers.
The eight-page agreement is so detailed that it indicates which of the two fighters would step onto the scale first at the weigh-in (Pacquiao), who would walk to the ring first (Pacquiao), who would be introduced first (Mayweather) and who had first choice of the locker room (Mayweather),?Iole said in his report.
Iole reported that GBP sent the contract to Top Rank on Dec. 11, 2009, a month after Pacquiaos 12th round stoppage of Miguel Cotto.
The fight would have been on HBO pay-per-view for $59.95 (roughly P2,600 at current exchange) per buyer.
The supposed mega fight would have been held on March 13, 2010.
Pacquiao was forced to decline the contract because of Mayweathers drug test demand.
He later softened his stand on the drug testing issue but Mayweather no longer wanted to give him a 50-50 split.

Considering Manny was knocked out the first of three times in 1996 probably not.

They probably fought at the best time for money, but it would have been a better fight several years earlier.

Arum wanted $59.95. Shaffer said they could do $79.95. Again nobody new how many PPV's they were going to sell. I still feel they would've sold more based on Manny's severe popularity drop after his KO lost. It showed in his PPV numbers following.
