True, but what they're trying to do over at TR is build Crawford's name, and even though Herrera and postol are better match ups, Provo has a much larger following, mostly because of his fighting style. Seems like they're positining Crawford for a fall PPV appearance----but vs who??

Postol or Matthysse. It's time for Crawford to fight a big fight.

I'll watch, Provodnikov is always money well spent to watch. Sometimes it's not the skills and instead about the heart of the fighter. Plus want to see how Crawford deals with that raging bull.

Not the best opponent available for Crawford, but should be an entertaining scrap for what looks to be Crawford's first fight in California.

Rafael outlines the discussions between Arum and Pellulo for this fight:

Junior welterweight titlist Terence Crawford and former titlist Ruslan Provodnikov could meet this summer, with their promoters due for a pivotal deal discussion on Friday.
Top Rank's Bob Arum, Crawford's promoter, and Artie Pelullo, who promotes Provodnikov, had an initial discussion about the possibility of the fight hours before Crawford knocked out Hank Lundy in the fifth round on Feb. 27 in New York. Arum called Pelullo that day to gauge his interest.
"We had a nice talk about the fight before the Crawford-Lundy fight but we haven't talked about all of the details yet," Arum said.

That means they have yet to discuss the most significant aspect of the fight -- the financial package.
Arum said one thing he agreed to already with Pelullo was that the bout would not take place in Crawford's hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.

"Artie said they would want to do the fight as long as it wasn't in Omaha, which is fine with us," Arum said.
Arum said the target date for the fight is July 23 at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
