I bookmarked this thread so I can bump it when GGG accepts the terms that Canelo and Goldne Boy give him, including the weight.
This is just GGG saying what he thinks is going to happen. If it was 160 or vacate he wouldn't have let Canelo make a voluntary defense. Why do that when Canelo won't fight someone else at 160 right now? The answer is because the last thing GGG wants is for Canelo to vacate. He is in his mid thirties and this is his last chance at a big payday. Canelo vacates he fights bums until he retires for a fraction of what a Canelo fight can pay him.
You people are so gullible.

The Mexicans will expel Canelo from their country if he vacates the belt.
There will be a huge riot and Canelo will be the laughing stock of Mexico.
Maybe Puerto Rico takes him. Maybe he can get a room at Cotto's house. These 2 cowards fit perfectly together.

The way boxing is today, you're gonna be dictated to at least once if you're gonna get a big money fight against a big money guy.
And from GGG's prospective, if he's genuinely motivated by unifying belts. Even though I think its totally pointless and a waste of time. But if that's his motivation, I have ZERO issues with him taking this approach. But if this is his stance, its time to move. Challenges await him north of 60.

A ggg/Canelo fight will be a financial success because of Canelo not ggg. This means Canelo is in the drivers seat. As for those that think the WBC will strip Canelo:
1. The same WBC that allowed Canelo to fight a second rate 147lber (M Hatton) for their 154lb title?
2. The same WBC that allowed his defense against the #4 ranked contender (Rhodes, a joke all by itself) to count as a mandatory defense? When was the last time a alphabet organization let a defense against a #4 count as a mandatory.
3. The same WBC that allowed Canelo to defend the 154lb belt against not one but two career 140lbers (Gomez & Lopez)?
Bottom line, the WBC ain't stripping Canelo no matter who he does or doesn't fight. If they want this fight, team g string better get ready to make some concessions.

So whats GGG's deal. Says he will go to 154 for floyd and making that weight is no problem. Says the same thing about 168 then refuses the ward fight at 168. Now it seems like he is very persistent about fighting canelo at 160 and not 155. SO WTF IS YOUR DEAL GGG, FIGHT HIM AT 155 , PUT UP OR SHUT UP ALREADY.
