Hope he can rehab it. Operations many help him but weaken the knee overall.

Man he is missing a huge opportunity to gain that needed exposure of two of the largest fanbases in boxing .
Things happen however I hope this has more to do with politics than injury. Well even missing this date he still has time to get in two fights before a fall show down with kovalev. I see no need to move that fight to 2017 just yet.

To be fair to Ward, he probably wasn't excited to fight Brand, he needed to fight a much better opponent, next time he needs to fight a top 20 lhw at least.
None the less this crap should have been avoided. He should have secured a fight against a decent lhw, but I heard he turn down the offers that HBO wanted.

Whenever a fighter threatens your favorite fighter:
1. Congregate with the rest of the fangirls and scream about how he'll lose, even when 95% of people with sound boxing brains say otherwise
2. Use extremely warped logic to question his heart
3. Claim that arguments used on behalf of that fighter are BS, but then use the exact same arguments for your fighter and claim them to be legitimate
4. Ultimately make a million excuses when he wins.
It's the BoxingScene way.

Ward hasn't had a decent fight in years. As a business, boxing can't be making him much money ATM. No wonder he is calling out big names like GGG to get some attention.

So people were complaining about the opponent and that he was on the card.
Now he's off the card and looking at a better opponent, people are still complaining.
And I used the term "people" in the loosest possible terms when it comes to the swamplife cancerous fanboys that support GGG.
