Why does the P4P # 2 fighter in Ward always have to get his way though? He ALWAYS gets it his way. He fought the linear Light-Heavyweight Champion in Chad Dawson at 168. If he just came up to 170 voluntarily (because we know it was Chad's fault for offering to come down to 168), he could've fought Dawson for the Light-Heavyweight strap, BUT HE DIDN'T. He just defended his Title against the Champion one division above him. Pathetic.

And now he wants a Middleweight Title holder (not even the real Champ yet but a Paper Champ) to come all the way up so he can defend his Title again? Why would he want to defend his 168 title against a Paper champ in GGG?

YES, if GGG went up and won a Super-Middleweight (168) title against someone like Abraham, and then demanded a catchweight against Ward, then your analogy would make sense. Otherwise, we will dismiss your poor analogy at face value.

Unification is only relevant when there's good fighters holding the belts. All the current middleweight beltholders are bums and jr middleweights.

As for the size difference. Ward is a natural super middleweight by today's standards. GGG is a natural middleweight by today's. This 172 debate y'all are making is ******. He fought a non-title fight, where he didn't wanna cut the extra lbs to make 168. Its not uncommon. Check any top fighter's record. Most have fights, especially early in their careers. Where they fought a few lbs above the limit in non-title fights. Either way. Ward is willing to fight GGG. If he can't make 168 comfortablely, advantage GGG.

As for Ward's market value. He brings more than anyone GGG has fought in his career. GGG isn't a crossover star. Pretty much his entire fanbase are hardcore fight fans. Ward-GGG is currently the most talked about fight in the hardcore fight community. What's the problem?

And I'm sure if the American public had to choose a Mexican canelo over golovkin I will be very surprised

This ^^^^^^right here is an interesting comment coming from a GGG fan. Golovkin is from Kazakhstan a former member of what was once the Soviet Union. America's number one all time enemy. And what exactly makes you think we would favor a Kazakhstan over a neighbor Mexican who by the way looks like an Irish man. For the record I don't root for either one but if I had to choose one over the other to root for it would be Canelo.

                  That is weak.

Golovkin was willing to fight Froch/Chavez, but not willing to fight Ward.

Just so long as you're happy with that ^^

[QUOTE=aboutfkntime;16146580]No, it doesn't...... learn the sport.

To be a LHW you would need to do 2 things.....

                    1) undertake a training camp where you can prepare to fight at 175, against an opponent who will be doing the same
                    2) actually fight a LHW

Ward has never done any of those things.

In the Smith fight Ward was coming DOWN to fight a SMW.

He did NOT even prepare to be the best 172lb'er on the planet, because the camp was designed to bring him DOWN in weight, not up..... the goal was to eventually get to 168, which would require a completely different approach.

You need to understand about weight and preparation.

That is like calling Canelo a middleweight because he chooses to fight JMW's at 155 out of entitlement.

Choosing to fight a JMW at 155 simply because it suits him does not make Canelo a middleweight..... it makes him unprofessional./QUOTE]

Whether you come up or down to a weight is irrelevant.

If you fight at 172lbs you are fighting within the LHW division. Therefore, by definition, you are fighting as a LHW.
