Kovalev hasn't beaten anyone even remotely close to prime RJJ level and it's pretty foolish to even speculate he'd beat prime Roy. If he can get thoughWard andStevenson, thenyouhave an argument but at this point it's a shameless reach.

These so called fans on here overrate certain fighters. Floyd, Roy, and BHOP to be exact. SK is a KILLER. Period. He's too smart for Roy. He is going to set traps and hit you all while not falling into your traps. What he did to Hopkin's, he would do to any version of Hopkin's. He is a very smart and calculating fighter. Roy gets KO'ed. Roy isn't hurting him with one of those fast, flashy shots he throws. In a fight where both guys will get hit, who would you put your money on? Exactly. Smh. What we didn't know about Roy in his prime is, he couldn't take a punch. He could never take a punch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kovalev at his current age could not hold RJJ's jock strap at the same age. RJJ's hands and feet were entirely too fast. Because of Roy's speed he could have possible ko'd kovalev cause its highly likely he would have caught him with a punch he did not see coming.

I DARE Roy to try that tactic against SRL or Hagler or Holyfield or Hearns or SK. He gets hit in the mouth. He was technically FLAWED! How much about boxing do you really know, kid? He is no boxing god. If Tarver can KO him, Glenn Johnson, then SK can KO him. PERIOD./SIZE]
But what I wAnt to know from you is how can someone who fought and beat everyone he was asked to fight (with the exception of DM) in his prime the benefactor of careful match making. And the only reason him and DM did not fight us because he wasn't coming here and Roy wasn't going there. So who did he avoid? Eubank wasn't trying to fight him. Benn wasn't trying to fight him. McCellan got the injury before the fight could have been made so he did he avoid. Hagler Leonard and Hearns were not existent after Roy turned pro. So who do you feel he ducked .
