Comments Thread For: Cotto's Adviser Says Several Options Will Be Reviewed

WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) has yet to make a decision regarding his return, but plans to do so in the near future. There were weeks of discussions to make a fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for May 2nd. Those talks fell apart two weeks ago when Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, made a decision - pursuant to his fighter's wishes - and told Cotto's team they were moving on.

take your time cotto. you have the name recognition they want. you have pacquiao and mayweather on your resume along with ppv status.

take the best possible deal. dont rush into a GGG fight. he needs a notable gatekeeper on his resume. a couple. murray is a start.

remember you have the leverage against anybody not named pacquiao mayweather.

    this is the truth.

        Bradley/Rios/JMM.

Trout has looked horrible lately so he might even get in the mix.

Spoken like a blind, ignorant nuthugger. The truth of the matter is Cotto ducked Canelo.

Never understand why he would walk out on the Canelo fight and around 15-20mil dollars. There's not many fights that are being thrown in his face that are gonna make that type of money for him.

Cotto's at that point where he feels he's put in enough work to sit back & choose which option he feels is best for him...

He pretty much has all options at his disposal right now & depending on what the two dummies end up doing he could really cash out...May/Cotto II, Pac/Cotto II
