If he stops Murray in the same fashion as the others, thats the biggest win GGG can get outside of a big name. Murray has proven he's at world level with the Martinez and Sturm fights. He's a big, technically solid middleweight. If GGG handles him like everyones expecting, it will confirm to me what i already know- we've got something very special on our hands, all time kind of special.

        "I won't be intimidated."
        "I don't fear the power."
"I won't go out like so and so."

Broken ****ing record with all these guys. Murray will go down just like the others.

Murray should def provide the most resistance based on his technical ability, his chin is at least decent too yes? check his boxrec and didn't see any KDs. however i see two big weaknesses which mean this could also end early.

He doesnt have a punch to keep GGG off, and we've seen previously that GGG is more than happy to get straight into seek n destroy mode against light punchers- see Geale fight.

His high guard is effective, he picks shots off well, but that style of guard often can turn into an offensively negative shell when faced with big power, and GGG is a master at mixing up his punch selection to create openings, i just have this vision of him picking and prodding at Murrays guard and then whamming a body shot home to end the night. Early.

We'll see though, we'll see. Im so keen for this fight. Ive been really studying GGG of late and I'm unashamedly on the hype train. This guy is an animal.

Golovkin won't be smiling when he's throwing those haymakers at Murray. This is Murray just psychologically preparing himself for the worse beating of his life in the ring.

On that Sky Sports roundtable discussion Murray was lecturing Macklin on already being beaten before he stepped into the ring when he fought Golovkin. Will be funny to see his reaction if he gets flattened himself.

Of course Murray beat a better Martinez. Is that even deniable? The man had another two knee surgeries and was out 15 months before he got in the ring with Cotto.
Yes because it's different fight at 160 as opposed to 159

Well Murray LOST. He had more recovery time for the Cotto fight, but to say one version of Sergio was significantly better than other is wrong. Essentially the same guy in both the Murray and Cotto fights. He just got dropped hard 3 times in the 1 of those bouts and his equilibrium showed it. Murray dropped him, but they weren't hard punches that HURT Sergio.

Oscar was his first WW fight and he did not have to meet a CW. Cotto isn't a big WW, it wasn't necessary. Clottey of all fighters would have been the one to get one.

So 1lb doesn't make a difference but 2lbs does? Ok then....

Yeah sure....the same guy. 2 more knee surgeries and 15 extra months out of the ring are negligible factors.
