Khan on Maidana: I beat this guy easily, knocking him down and making him look silly

Maybe Khan should go watch that fight again. Sure, he dropped Maidana early with a great bodyshot but Maidana got up and pressed on, much like he did in the Ortiz fight. Had Khan been this devastating boxer like he thinks that he is, then Maidana would have never even made it to the 2nd round.
As the fight progressed, Khan was FORCED into fighting off of the ropes and got punished until he himself almost hit the deck. Also, Maidana was deducted a point for an illegal punch and had that point not been taken away, he would have won by MD with one judge having it a draw and the other two having him winning by merely one point. For some reason, he seems to think he won by a landslide but it would appear that he squeaked by with a narrow victory, at least according to the judges. But, what should we expect from a guy who calls himself a "king" and refers to himself in the third person?

2 things to remember in this very close battle that could have gone either way:
khan's beautiful combo to the body that put chino down in the first
and
seeing khan take that life-shortening beating in the 10th round, which should have been a 10-8 round for chino
maidana will forever be awful for khan, maidana now knows not to take his foot off the accelerator in a fight with khan from the break.

Under Hunter, Khan has learned some tricks of the trade and how to better stop an opponent's momentum by clinching/stifling when needed in order to allow for the re-establishment of his own offense. I still see massive counter opportunities when he is on the attack though. I'm not so sure anyone can correct that but a boxer like Floyd can certainly exploit that. I'll say that Khan certainly looks like a better boxer today but if he gets this Floyd fight, he may end up regretting fighting so hard to get it.
