This was disgraceful and Rourke and the other bum are human garbage and should have to pay back all the people who bought tickets or paid to watch it, if it was PPV, and they should be fined and banned from boxing. I hope this guy is booed every second he is in a boxing ring from now until he dies.
how many 2nd round knockouts do you have? Especially over a prime accomplished athlete when you are 20 years past your best
That was the most pathetic looking dive in Rourke's 5 fight staged boxing career and they should send Elliot Seymour to the Russian Gulag for committing that crime. I can't believe the posters who are praising him and can't see it.

I'm a musician, not a boxer, and I have no idea what that has to do with anything. I'm a boxing fan, I can give my opinion about a fight I saw and there's nothing you can do about it. And if you think this wasn't staged you're a dumbass. And if you think it's totally fine and harmless and all good that this happened, you're an even bigger dumbass.
yeah....he doesnt need to fight he has money...he just loves the sport and want to fight win/lose he likes to fight....he gat my respect
yeah so you respect guys who take opportunities away from younger up and coming boxers who could have been on that card and made their tv debut or had a big fight that might help their career dramatically? So that we can watch this miserable pathetic piece of **** win a fixed fight, against a guy who also has no future in boxing? A totally meaningless fight, and a meaningless thread, this fight doesn't even deserve it's own thread.
When you accomplish anything with your life, you can criticize.
I first watched Rourke in Diner (1982) -- great performance!!!...
By then, he already quit boxing... From 1964 to 1973, Rourke compiled an amateur boxing record of 27 wins (17 by knockout) and 3 defeats, which included first-round knockout wins over Sherman Bergman, John Carver, and Ronald Robinson, and decision victories over Ron Carter, Charles Gathers, Joe Riles, and Javier Villanueva.
