Comments Thread For: Photo/Weights: Roy Jones Jr. vs. Hani Atiya

The weights are in for Friday's sold out card in Krasnodar, which is going to be an event in the memory of Andrei Andreyev. In the main event of the evening, former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr., 45-years-old, will return to the ring against 30-year-old Egyptian boxer Hani Atiya in a cruiserweight battle. Both fighters successfully came under the cruiserweight limit of 200-pounds. Jones stepped on the scale and came in at 194-pounds (88 kg). Atiya was a bit lighter at 193.1-pounds (87.6 kg).

If Roy wins this fight, I wonder if one of the sanctioning bodies will rate him in their top 15 to pave the way for one last title shot.

RJJ used to be so shredded. Now he always looks like he's barely even been in the gym at all. That LHW-HW-LHW stint did hell on his body(and chin).

His face looks a little old but the body looks pretty good for 46 years old considering 175 was his best fighting weight and that's is when he was shredded

so 20 lbs more and can still see some abs, that's not bad

Roy Jones is what happens when a once great fighter never appreciated and/or realized how much he loved the sport when he was on top. Hopefully he's content being an attraction overseas and fighting local bums until he gets outta his system whatever he needs to get out. I haven't watched Roy fight on years and will never do so again. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt. He's actually a pretty good analysis.
