Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV - In the BKB main event, Gabriel Rosado defeated Bryan Vera by 5th round knockout to win the middleweight BKB championship. Vera dropped Rosado with a flash knockdown in the third when Rosado appeared to trip on the lip where the pit and the ramp meet. Seconds later Rosado returned the favor and floored Vera who was able to rise to his feet.

That was awesome but I wish it wasn't so out in the open. And that platform has me worried if someone got dropped and their next landed wrong.

But A+ for creativity and effort. Cool idea.

      Make Kirkland vs Rosado! :weedbear:

I wonder if the huge acne bumps on his back have anything to do with this performance and at how the guy is more shredded than ever before???

Maybe, Chavez Jr could not even drop Vera and he hit him with several hard clean shots.

Anyone more knowledgable than I on the subject can correct me if I'm wrong but back when boxing was in its rawest form, weren't the spectators surrounding the fighters to form a circular "ring"? I'm talking about when fights would go up to 44 rounds before it was over. Anyway I like the idea it's just that when a fighter gets knocked out without the ropes I think they are more prone to the damage that comes after the body comes crashing down. If he falls back there will be no ropes to reduce the momentum which could lead to some serious damage. However without the ropes and the fact that the ring is significantly smaller than that of the squared counterpart, I think this style promotes more fact paced action. Which is good for the fans.

If anyone knows, do these fights count towards a fighters record? Also, seeing as how the BKB have their own belts.. will they recognize or be recognized by 4 main boxing juggernaut organizations?

if his name isn't JMM, Pac, or Floyd; no one cares about cheating. Nothing to see here

It's like a movie fight. After the Rosado-Vera "experience" I don't expect other established boxers to enter the BKB arena... They would have to prepare a new breed of fighters for these alien environment.
