It really bothers me when we the fans are asking for certain fights which keep getting talked about and then out of nowhere the promoters decide to start talking about or end up making a random fight that nobody's even asking for such as this one. The only reason this fight is being mentioned now is because it suits the best interest of TopRank not because it's the best fight that can be made for the fans.

Take the MW title out of the equation and this is one of the better and bigger fights to be made at the moment.

Make it happen. Cotto probably stops Timmy.

Why do you have to take the title outta the mix?

I think your assessment is wrong I believe most want to the see the fight as long as its not for the middleweight title. This match up was discussed some time ago before Cotto moved to middleweight and is a good in between fight (not for the middleweight title) leading to Cotto-Canelo next year.

That just seems to be the major complaint about the fight. People seem to think the fight is a farce because it might be for the MW title. I think it's a great match up regardless.

I respect your point bro, but the reality is that the middleweight title is in the equation and we have a "lineal" middleweight champion taking on a welterweight that's fresh off a loss. I think that this would be one of the better fights that can be made at the moment to someone that has monetary interest involved in the fight, but as far as everything else not so much.

I don't care. At this point its a natural jr middleweight fighting a natural welterweight. Anywhere between 47-54 is fine with me. And hell, Cotto won the middleweight strap fair-n-square. If he wants to defend it and/or Bradley wants a crack at it. Make it a fake ass "middleweight title fight" at 155 or some bull**** like. Won't make or break me watching or not.
