It'll just be interesting to see how it all plays out. To date he's been an indisciplined fuck-up and he was badly exposed by Martinez in his biggest fight. He's not Oscar or Floyd, he's a mediocre fighter with a famous name. He'll have to up his game considerably to make this work.
Its first class chess. Well first class chess would be Bradley not resigning, and THEN demanding a high purse for Pac rematch, knowing that Pac needed him more than he needed Pac. Pac needed some big name opponent and Bradley is the closest he will get to that. That would have been amazing if he was smart enough.

He was simply ready to leave the company that is all. It wouldnt have been bad if he stayed. But just him being smart enough to not be tricked. Promoters have been doing this for years. I would never expect him to be smarter than Bradley and Ghost.
They tried to stunt on him and he comes back like, "Oh well I dont want to resign I will take the fight without the extension"
Its BANOODLES that he did that. Imagine Arum's face. He probably thought it was the same o'l same o'l. Do the extension trick then back to business. Chavez has him panicking and this is his last big name fighter. The kid shocked me and Arum both I tell you what.
Time will tell if he's right or wrong but I don't think the outlook is particularly good.
As for him being Arum's last big-name fighter, doesn't he have Marquez, Pacquiao, Garcia and a year and a half to convince JCC to sign an extension? I don't think he's in trouble just yet.

He comes back like, "Well I will take the fight, but not the extension." Just the power move, and the spit on Arum's face.
And again, I dont think it will be a big reward. Im just impressed with him not being fooled into doing something. You know?

I was just shocked at the smarts. Even when fighters reject the extension, the promoters give them the option of getting big money with it, and small money without it, then they say okay and stay.
Same with Bradley. This kid just said, you know what? I just wont fight GGG if thats the money I will get. He will fight a few bums then try to get out. Again, I dont think its a reward for this.
I just like the concept of him not being controlled by a promoter or tricked. I been waiting on a fighter to do this.

Its normal for them to resign.

I guess we can start talking about the irrelevant stuff. Its not all about drawing power. Bradley is the top 3 ww's. He's important. He is NOWHERE NEAR thurman in drawing power, rankings, in ANYTHING. I bet if Bradley were to fight Floyd he would get paid WAAAY more than Thurman would. Thurman is unproven nobody.
Bradley being as important as he is, I think he would have made more money on all of gb fights combined. As I mentioned he has to keep padding his record with rematches at tr. Now imagine if he fought golden boy's entire roster twice. It would be boatloads.
He wouldnt make more money fighting Rios bum azz than he would fighting Golden boy's roster. I notice how you strategically used Golden Boy's least known fighters in Porter and Thurman to make an example. LOL You are not half as slick as Arum.
And Rios and Alvarado is half of TR's complete stable.
He will fight them both 6 times a piece. Fighting golden boy's roster 6 times a piece, knowing golden boy has real fighters it would be way more money.
And why do you keep focusing on the money? His whole prime at TR will be wasted on these meaningless fights. Its NO WAY you can tell me staying at TR is better than being at golden boy putting his prime to REAL use. Its NO WAY. Thats the reason you wanted to avoid talking about competition.
Im sorry bro, fighting TR bums 3 and 4 times a piece is NOT anywhere near fighting the best in the division. What is Bradley going to do? Retire a rich hypejob because he ducked the 10-20 fighters at his weight class? But got paid handsomely to fight cherries?
Sorry bro, you will be an easy debate win if that is what your saying.
Go back and respond to me other comment. This is dragging out.
I picked Porter and Thurman because they are young, prime undefeated African Amercan fighters. Mexican and Mexican-American fighters have built in, loyal fan bases that will support them no matter who they fight. Look at what they are doing with Garcia. They are trying to get the PR fanbase behind him because boxing just isn't big in the U.S.
Your problem is you think boxing is more popular than it really is. Bradley is the #3 welterweight and has achived a lot but that doesn't mean **** in terms of drawing power. Drawing power is about who you are and where your from.
My advice to any young fighter is to make as much money in your boxing career as you can and retire healthy.
