Just rewatched it and scored it 7-5 maidana or maybe 6-6 draw. Maidana was the aggressor in most rounds and I always tend to favour the aggressor.

his aggression in the early rounds was great and he was pounding floyd to the body and gave him an evil right hand against the ropes but after that his aggression was wasted he would back floyd up and not do the work like in rds 1-5 he was also getting tagged alot especially in 6, late 7.he tired I bet part of the gameplay was to catch floyd cold and go for the KO because mayweather always starts fights slow and they tried to take advantage but it backfired because his tank was empty (although on pure adrenalin he came back alive slightly in the 12th)

Maidana won only in the minds of haters like you. Incidentally, these are the same delusional minds who think Pacquaio was on the verge of knocking out Marquez before Marquez knocked out Pacquaio.

Dude, what? I believe Floyd won 7-5 rounds against Maidana, the fight was closer than most expected. Some would have it a draw. I admit that Maidana looked better against Floyd than most of Floyd's previous opponents, he put up a show swinging wild punches. Maidana fought like an amateur and had some success with it. Floyd on the other hand is clearly on the decline and didn't come back as much until the later rounds. But he still managed to steal the victory and a win is a win. As for what happened with Manny & Marquez last time. It's true that Marquez was badly wobbled and hurt in the 5th and 6th rounds... I mean watch the fight again... Marquez was on his way out, everybody noticed that. From people sitting in the front row seats to the boxing guru's who judged and or watched the fight happen right in front of them.

From the 6th round on Floyd decided that he had to change his strategy and instead of staying on the ropes trying to exchange, he boxed and countered Maidana. Maidana didn't know what to do anymore. Floyd did just enough to win but didn't look spectacular. I predicted Maidana would have won 3-4 rounds. Props to Maidana for winning 5 rounds. He did better than i thought he would have. Even though he fought like an amateur swinging wild punches, props to him for having a bit of success earlier on in the fight in the first 6 rounds... Maidana on the other hand is tailor made for Pacquaio. I think Pacquaio should fight Maidana and finish him off. It would make Pacquaio look good again. Unlike Brandon Rios who is very tough. Maidana has a brittle chin as it's been exposed multiple times by even Eric Morales.

He knew he couldn't outbox or outsmart Floyd so he did what he does best and that's come forward and throw that overhand right. Props to Maidana for attacking the body and partially neutralizing the shoulder roll of FMJ. But Maidana is a B class fighter. He doesn't have the skill set in him to beat the top pound for pound fighters who are already on their way out. Let alone primed future p4p fighters. Maidana is the kind of guy that would look good against other B class fighters but if Bradley, Khan or Pacquaio had a go at him. His career would sink down the drain in no time. That's how i see it. As for others saying that Maidana got robbed? that ain't true. FMJ looked less stellar and impressive but still ecked out a decision win. Those 2 other judges were biased though.
