It's clear as day that Adonis doesn't want the Kovalev fight. Before he said Kovalev hadn't earned a fight then he said he will fight him for the right money. If you read between the lines it's obvious as **** that Stevenson doesn't want that fight. Why do you think Stevenson is fighting Fonfarna. He's actually Kovalev's mandatory challenger, but oddly he's fighting Adonis.

There is no way Stevenson is making more from a Fonfara fight than he would with a Kovalev fight, which is what the boxing world wants to see.

i notice his ratings went down when he went to showtime...how weird! also the pascal fights were in canada. pascal was the draw. the stevenson-kovalev fight would almost certainly be in canada so live attendance is not a problem. hbo gets better ratings than showtime so if they are going for ratings they failed.

If HBO wants the Kovalev/Stevenson fight, they need to put up the money. Come to the table with the right numbers for the Fonfara bout and a hard figure of what he would make afterwards for Kovalev. I believe this is what Showtime has done, offering him a healthier check for Fonfara as well as showing him what he could get for BHOP. It's simple really, you want to keep Stevenson, pay him what he asks for.
