Comments Thread For: Nacho Likes Marquez-Alvarado, Not Pacquiao-Marquez 5

Trainer Nacho Beristain is looking forward to Juan Manuel Marquez's returns on May 17th, when he faces Mike Alvarado (34-2, 23KOs) at the Forum in Los Angeles, California. It will be the first fight for Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs) since a twelve round split decision loss to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley last October.

im still dwelling at the fact Marquez fought and lost to Bradley. Pointless fight for him and he should have retired after an all time high after Pac 4.

            What other organization?
            WBC- Floyd/Maidana
            WBO - Pacquiao/Bradley
            IBF - Porter/Malignaggi
            WBA - Maidana/Floyd

So yeah, when Pacquiao beats Bradley either face Pacquiao or nio title

Four rematches? they only fought four times. First was a draw so first rematch wasen't a favor to anyone it was needed.

Third fight yeah it was good that i happened but it wasen't like it was charity from Pacs side, he took most of the money and didn't really have many opponents to choose from with the GBP feud.

Fourth fight was as much for Pacquiao as for Marquez, he needed to redeem himself after what happened in the third fight in which most tought Pac got beat. So don't act like Pac fought Marquez four times out of the kindness of his heart. He did it because it made sense for his career.

why can't he have an eventual fight with the porter/malinaggi winner? is it to do with the promoters?

Didn't know Paulie and Porter were scheduled to fight. That's going to be pretty one sided assault.

Of all the 147 champs, Maidana seem to be the weakest.
