      Bute may have developed Punchitus the boxing equivilent of the Yips in Putting and Dartitus in Darts,where you just can't pull the trigger and fire your shots.

        Simple: after the beating Froch gave him his confidence was still low and he has since been scared of getting hit since he's a bit on the "chinny" side and thus became gunshy and scared to let the hands go.

          I agree with a lot of you. He lacked confidence and seemed "scared". If HBO buys a rematch of Pascal/Bute, the head of HBO needs to be fired.

              I'm sure Bute can continue to make money in the sport and return to his winning ways.

              But there's no way he's ever going to headline cards, get those million dollar paydays, or ever fight B or A class opponents again .

                In order for Bute to continue to make money it means to accept to fight as a gatekeeper -- which I can't see him being able of doing... The guy acts candidly.

                  Bute doesn't deserve a rematch, he needs to retire. The past is the past, the future is now....if you don't know that, the past will always haunt you.

                    Bute is very much retired already -- I don't know if his promoters still think they could squeeze more money out of him.
