If Floyd wants to challenge himself and fulfil his latent potential he should seriously consider GGG. GGG isn't the fastest and that will be a big help to Floyd
Well, they evidently consider Floyd pretty good if they're picking him over career MW's and one of the best there.

Floyd vs a MW just isn't a realistic fight though.

Yet claim the fighters who achieved greatness need fighters who have done absolutely nothing to be even greater.
You mistook me. I meant FLoyd wants to be the GOAT, and there are things he can do that will put him in the equation.
If he can beat middlweights in Sergio or GGG it is a nice tick in the box.

How would Floyd deal with a GGG attempting to walk him down all night? Cotto as able to get to Floyd with some level of success. Would GGG be able to do the same amount and potentially worse damage than Cotto did?
I think Mayweather is smart enough not to fight GGG and would never fight him at the full 154. He might agree to 150. I think GGG would win by KO. GGG is a hell of a lot better fighter and harder puncher than the old Mosley that had Mayweather in trouble but could not finish him off. GGG is also a much bigger, faster, harder hitting and just all around better fighter than Cotto. There will never be a Mayweather-GGG fight. If they were to fight GGG would just add another KO victim to his record.

GGG would be another string to Floyds bow when honours are handied out, and Floyd boasting a win over a middleweight, people could ask much more from Floyd especially for a retirement fight.
Why would a GGG win be better then a Canelo win? Canelo was atleast the Ring champion and his resume is arguably better then GGG's

the only shot ggg has is win by ko, he definitely cant outbox Floyd. People think for some reason, mostly hate that GGG after dropping weight, will have some great conditioning (which we have no idea about), that will not have him gassed after chasing around the ring. 2. how will he deal with someone faster, as i remember alot of you guys thought Canelo would be able to get Floyd based on size alone, because what other chance did anyone think Canelo had against floyd? Boxing him? but now you guys think ggg can outbox him? What happened when Matthysse's power didnt work? He was lost and Floyd is known to take away his opponents strengths. But I guess some of you think ggg would somehow be able to bring some suprise speed that Floyd hasnt already had to deal with in the smaller guys. He wont be faster, he wont be the better boxer, so i guess he will have to all of a sudden become a better boxer than floyd...Not. I think floyd boxes, dances and people will be crying that Floyd ran. why would he go toe to toe with a middleweight. Why would you fight anyone to their strength. Floyd would box him to a decision. Some of you guys hate blinds you to the fact that more than likely floyd will be ahead by the 6th or 7th rd and potshot him for the rest of the fight. thats how i see it going you guys are hoping that floyd will decide to go toe2toe and that aint happening.

Based on what, visuals? Golovkin hasn't beaten anyone and I say that as a big supporter of his. Surly he can fight the same level of opposition at 154, make this fight more viable? I mean, consider the fact that no writers have touched this up despite the many times Golovkin has expressed interest in facing Mayweather, it's a joke, very unrealistic.

Yes they rate Floyd it seems, and Floyd really can do it, he should try, it is his last fight afterall, might as well go out with a ****.

Can you explain why Floyd against a middleweight isn't realistic? Im not understanding that. If Floyd did it, it wouldn't be the first time in history. People might have tried and failed but people have tried. Did RJJ do something similar when beating Ruiz?

But forget talk of Floyd never comes in the ring over 155 talk. The way you do it is increase the calories in your diet and do it scientifically, like they have tradiationally done over the years.

Not all fighters are the same.

Floyd's absolutely maxed out at Jr MW where the highest he's weighed in is 151 and he comes to the ring at 150 lbs.

If he were to add more weight he'd be bulkier and slower than he already is above 147.

Someone who comes to the ring at 150 lbs vs a career MW and one of the worlds best MW's isn't a realistic fight this day and age.

Kind of a testament really that there are people picking Mayweather to beat him despite this.
