This time is different. I think it's conceivable that Floyd has been waiting for Pac to lose and become irrelevant so he doesn't have to face him. But it hasn't happened and if he fights Cotto now I just don't see how people can keep defending him, keep blaming Bob Arum though I'm sure they will. They will say at least it's better than Pac's fight, which may be true but is little consolation.
The only good thing about this fight not happening is watching that clown TStreet come up with an excuse. "My hands are shaking, my voice is trembling, my heart is beating really, really fast"
Floyd is disgusting. A ****** coward. Dead scared of Pacquiao even 5 years after his prime.
One high-ranking boxing official close to the Mayweather-Pacquiao talks said Penagaricano isn***8217;t angling for Mayweather and might pursue a meeting at 154 pounds against former welterweight champion Timothy Bradley in June if Alvarez is indeed moving on.
The boxing official is not authorized to speak publicly because of the sensitivity of the talks.
That same official -- despite De La Hoya***8217;s statement -- said there***8217;s a possibility Alvarez-Cotto discussions could be revived this coming week.
We have the Superbowl coming up and what would be a better way to announce it. I'd say we get a surprise commercial/promo announcing the fight.
Man could you imagine how awesome that would be if we got a promo for this fight during the Superbowl? They show some highlights of each then they face off. And the narrator goes, "Mayweather/Pacquaio May 2 at MGM Grand! Man this place would go crazy with hype and reactions! Talk about a way to hype the fight!
