I don't think anyone is suggesting he should fight his mandatory every time.

A lot of fighters have promoters and match-makers that hand-pick their opponents. What is unique about Floyd is that he does it himself, he is in charge.

He has a point though, it's a business as well as a sport.

lovemore ndou is actually better than phillip ndou lol. ndou didn't beat a soul in his career. knocked out a bunch of bums. lovemore became world champ and even beat phillip head to head.

The same can be said about Canelo and I include Trout in that I won't call him a bum but lets be real Trout became known for beating Cotto the same man that was said to be washed up when Floyd beat him and said to be done after what Pac and Marg did to him. So how does Trout beating a guy that was said to be done make him a top fighter? So in my opinion that puts doubt to Canelo's biggest win of his carreer. The rest were definitely bums or old.

BECAUSE Money was most important factor in his Boxing career. Floyd has been the same way! Floyd fans are in denial as much as an alcoholic denies he has a drinking problem. They BOTH were in the sport, as long as they could stay in it, so to make the most money possible, NOT to be the best fighter in the game, not to be a legend. Hagler, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Arguello, Chavez Sr, fought the best, IN THEIR PRIME, multiple times if need be, to stack themselves up against the best to see where they fall in line. That's credible. Money was important, but certainly SECONDARY. They weren't afraid to take risk. Floyd is not in that league, neither was Roy. HENCE... Floyd waited until Mosley was 40, Floyd waited until he felt Cotto had too many wars. Floyd ignored Pacquiao in his prime EVEN AFTER Manny agreed to all terms, because Pac was found too dangerous... and still to this day, feels Manny is two dangerous. I doubt he will fight Matthysse if Floyd & Matthysse win on Saturday. I'm still expecting Floyd to fight the winner of Khan/Alexander in May. Floyd knows Matthysse is an extremely dangerous fighter. He's probably hoping Garcia wins since it's a much easier style match up for him.
