Just watched Devon Alexander vs Matthysse... LMFAO at Matthysse fans crying!!

I've never denied that he was at top fighter. I just don't agree it's a foregone conclusion that he beats Garcia, Judah, Alexander, Broner and whoever else everyone says he would beat

This fight was no robbery it was close as hell. I had it 95-95 with round 6 a draw. Devon started off well and boxed Matthysse's ass for the early part of the fight excluding the knockdown, Devon's trainer had a good approach for this fight, Matthysse looked like he really struggled with Devon's in and out movement early on. He also made Matthysse a bit startled in the second round with the straight left. He gassed a lot towards the end though.

Matthysse had an excellent round in round 7 and landed some huge tough punches throughout the fight, it was no way a dominant win for either fighter and any objective fighter could see this.

Matthysse's fans need to calm down. He wasn't ''robbed'' in this fight or against Zab, I actually think Devon did better than Zab, but of course Matthysse groupies have so much estrogen coursing though their veins that objectivity gets thrown straight out of the window when it comes to him.

The fight with Garcia is 50/50.

I love it when the emotional fans tout "I saw it this way, and any objective fan will agree with me" as if anybody who saw the fight the first time around had any reason to be subjective for Matthysse in that fight, and yet it was still widely seen as a robbery way back then

Not to mention ur disdain for Matthysse's fans isn't doing a great job of showing objectivity. And neither is that last sentence... How can u conclude Matthysse/Garcia is a 50-50 fight by watching Matthysse/Alexander?? Alexander = Garcia??

Kool story bro. I'll watch that now seeing as you're obsessed with it, but BoxRec has Danny as the winner... plus he was only a 21 year old kid going in against a 29 year old presumably in his prime boxer.

So Danny winning a close fight means nothing becuz he was young fighting a veteran, but Matthysse losing a close fight against one of the most difficult opponents out there, in his hometown, in only his second fight on the big stage has some significance?

Anyone who says it wasnt close probably didnt watch it. Hell, every round but a couple were very close. Imo Devon won rounds 1-3, 5, 6, and 9. And 10 was close, Devon arguably landed the better punches in that round.

Dig up the compubox thread for that, a lot of people sure thought it was close. It certainly puts the robbery myth into perspective.

Regardless it was a closr fight and wasnt a robbery. Hell, Lucas onlu clearly won 3 rounds.

With the KD Matts scored, Devon needed 6 rounds to win. There is no way he won that many rounds.

Actually Devon needed to win 7 rounds to win, 6 to get a draw... Its borderline disgraceful that u give Devon 6 rounds for a draw, but if managed to give him 7 for a win? Kill urself

no he didnt it was a 10 rd fight that you clearly didnt watch. 6 rounds won minus 1 point for a kd= 95. 4 rds won = 94. Devon wins 95-94, not that hard.
