Instead of hating who Floyd "wants" to fight, take it to the source.

Now there are some that are hating on the Ghost, saying he's a lightweight or what has he done.

Then there are those that bash Alexander saying he should have 3 losses & doesn't deserve it.

But the fact is, there is no one in boxing right now than can "choose" Floyd. He's the 1 who chooses who he fights, when & if he does. He isn't gonna (choose) the competitive fight. He's gonna choose the easiest fight for the biggest payday. It's not the opponents fault. You fall in line & pray for your shot. But if you actually pose a real threat expect to be ignored entirely.

Devon, the Ghost & even ginger are not bums. They're just the guys Floyd knows he can market & manipulate to a calculated victory. Notice Floyd never mentioned Trout & had ton loads of excuses for Martinez....I rest my case.
congratulations on stating the obvious there bush! lol

iv been saying it for the last few years, dont buy mayweather PPVs until he fights someone we actually want to see. but people still buy his fights and as long as they continue to do that, mayweather can continue to take the piss.

at the end of the day, there is no PPV without the fans. the fans pay the fighters wages. so if you want to see good fights, dont buy the **** ones!

its hard to believe that was the point of the thread, especially given the concluding paragraph, where you said I rest my case.

I said you are a goddamn crybaby sometimes.

I ranted only about what you posted.

I'm going to ask you a couple of questions.

Who was the best opponent in 2010, between fighters who Floyd could have actually fought[meaning keep Bob Arum fighters out of this because you know damn well Mayweather/Haymon can't do business with Arum]. Who was better in 2010 than WW Lineal Champion and top 3 ranked by The Ring, Shane Mosley?

In 2011, who was better, of the available opponents[Again, no Arum fighters] than #3 ranked WW and WBC champion Victor Ortiz?

In early 2012, who was the best opponent to fight from 147-154, out of the available opponents. Was it not #1 ranked JMW and WBA champion Miguel Cotto?

If you do not see Mosley, Ortiz and Cotto as competitive fighters/and they were the easiest opponents Floyd could fight at the time, then you're simply just crazy and are holding Floyd to standards that are out of this world.

It's true and I agree with just about everything you said, but we also need to put some blame on the major network that help perpetuate this and that's HBO.

Unfortunately HBO is still backing this fool to continue his quest for duck hunting.

fair points. but define a good fight vs a bad fight?

IS floyd devon a bad fight on paper. probably. what is a good fight-only one where you think foyd can lose?

You see. That's the problem with Flowmos.

In a Flowmos eyes, a tough challenge: "you just want my precious boo to lose!"

In a boxing fan's eyes: "Ummmmm.....stop being a *****, and fight someone worth paying to watch."

Just because none of the fights are great doesn't mean there aren't good opponents and bad opponents. Assuming the plan is two fight in May and September, then Guerrero would be a good choice for May. Devon Alexander would be a worse choice, the worst possible choice. Trout and Alvarez are far preferable, along with Guerrero. So I'm going to complain about it if Mayweather fights Alexander, because the "best fighter in the world" is not fighting the best opponent.

I didn't complain when he fought Ortiz, because that was a decent choice that shouldn't be complained about. I didn't complain when he fought Mosley, because everyone wanted him to fight Mosley. I will complain about Alexander. That is an awful fight.

Dempsey said every fight Mayweather can fight is not a good fight. If there are no good fights, does Dempsey think he should just retire then? That's what I was asking, because he's saying he's sick of people b*tching, there are no good fights for Mayweather. I completely disagree.

I believe the fights are there for Mayweather to take, but I know the chances are slim in some cases and none for most.
