But not because he prefers Cotto to Floyd, he just knows that between Cotto & Floyd, while Floyd hides behind Dirrel & Cotto, Cotto will man up & take his beating like a G.

Could it also be because since floyd is the better fighter that sergio is taking "easy money" by fighting Cotto? or is that just a criticism you save for manny and floyd only?

Sergio/canelo and floyd/manny fighting 1st makes financial sense for all parties involved. EVERYONE who has a financial stake wants a canelo/floyd fight because it likely makes the most money. Sergio/floyd is clearly the better fight but floyd/canelo yields a higher return on the investment. It has little to do with sergio's percieved abilty to defeat floyd.
